Ces tarifs sont clairement un frein à une utilisation du train pour faire le trajet Montréal-Québec. Pourtant, c’est une solution concrète de réduction de l’utilisation de la voiture qu’on devrait définitivement encourager. Je ne comprends toujours pas pourquoi on ne prend pas d’action pour encourager ce type de déplacement, à commencer par des tarifs concurrentiels, mais aussi de la publicité (sérieusement, je ne connais personne de mon entourage qui a fait ce trajet en train et je suis convaincu que la plupart ne sont même pas au courant qu’il existe).

A new baggage policy will soon come into effect
A new baggage policy will be introduced across our network and will apply to bookings made as of November 18, 2023.
The carry-on and checked baggage allowance (the number of baggage you can bring on board, along with their size and weight) will change, so don’t forget to read the new policy carefully when booking your next trip.
The mobile application will be deactivated on November 17
To provide a better user experience, we’re redesigning our mobile application. As of November 17, 2023, the current version of the application will be deactivated until the new version is ready.
For quick and easy access to your boarding pass, check your booking confirmation email and save it on your mobile device or print it prior to your trip.
Starting November 18, 2023, a new feature will allow you to save your boarding pass directly to your smartphone’s Wallet app (Apple and Android).

Youth tickets used to be 13-25 year olds, now it’s 13-17 year olds.
Also for some reason these type of tickets work, which VIA has told people you shouldn’t be able to book. I would’ve thought this new system would fix this:

À moins d’avoir une bêta de l’application sans même le savoir, la forte majorité de ces fonctionnalités était déjà disponible avant.

I’m guessing those stations might have been overlooked. I tried to book Montreal → Dorval and it fetches a fare only for the current day and shows no available departures at the next step.

En fait, je viens de re-tester et il semble y avoir un bug. L’option n’est pas proposée dès que l’on ajoute un enfant à la recherche.
Pourtant, quand je recherche pour 3 adultes, cela fonctionne bien !
