Je ne travaille pas pour la Caisse évidemment mais c’est toujours de cette manière que l’achalandage est calculé (validations/entrants), jamais en terme de nombre d’individus.
24 000 entrants/jour c’est aussi très en ligne avec ce que j’ai vu comme chiffres, pour 5 stations c’est quand même vraiment pas pire.
Il y aussi a considérer que les environs des stations sont quand même pas aussi dense qu’on le souhaiterait donc ça va prendre du temps avant que ça se mette en place et qu’on voit un achalandage conséquent.
C’est bon que ça ne soit pas beaucoup. Le rem est déjà assez plein dans l’heure de pointe, ça va être beaucoup plus plein quand le reste du réseau ouvre.
24,000 par jour c’est aussi 3x le Valley line a Edmonton et je crois plus que chaque ligne de train exo (mais pas combiné). Avec seulement 5 stations.
Il faudrait comparer avec les chiffres d’achalandage des autobus qui roulaient sur le pont Samuel-De Champlain et qui ont été retirés à la suite de la mise en service du REM
Dès cette semaine, il sera donc possible de voir circuler les voitures du REM entre 6 h et 20 h pour réaliser différents tests sur l’ensemble des équipements. La fréquence des passages variera cependant selon les besoins des tests.
Les premiers passages des voitures se feront dans un premier temps à très basse vitesse afin de repérer l’ensemble des balises sur le réseau. Par la suite, des essais à basse vitesse seront effectués, suivis d’essais à haute vitesse prévus à partir de septembre.
La circulation sera ensuite interrompue en septembre afin de finaliser la construction.
À ce stade, tout dépend des essais dans le tunnel et de la jonction entre le tunnel et la branche Rive-Sud.

If yes, i have to wonder if they are waiting for next opening to add the mayors or TMR, Pointe-Claire, Kirkland, SADB, Laval and of DM? If they are doing that, i guess they should take it one step further and add the mayor or dorval
En tant que tel, le REM actuel se rend à Dorval car c’est là que se situe l’aéroport. Mais il n’y a plus rien à espérer pour un prolongement, si c’est ce que tu avais en tête.

No she didn’t sign it, but her signature has been engraved into the plaquard. She couldn’t be there for the inauguration for some reason. Also, it won’t be on the puck, it will be installed on a wall at Gare Centrale Station

J’étais dans le coin du métro Lionel-Groulx, il y avait de gros grêlons aussi

The temporary art program is being held again this year in the REM stations!
As part of a course spearheaded by UQAM, students from Montréal’s four major universities invite you to discover their inspiring works of art, on display at the Central, Panama and Du Quartier stations from August 16 through October 2024.
These artistic creations are part of the inter-university course entitled Magnifier le présent : approches interdisciplinaires pour œuvres d’art public, encouraging artists to reflect on how to celebrate the present and render it more magnificent, from a perspective of care and inclusion, in a given sphere: the REM and its passengers.
Under the supervision of artists and professors Caroline Laurin-Beaucage and Nelly-Ève Rajotte, from UQAM’s dance department and design school, respectively, the works were developed with the collaboration of guest artist Jonathan Villeneuve from Ateliers Belleville.

This work consists of an artistic installation in the REM’s Panama station access tunnel. Comprised of a structure featuring screens and performances by two dancers, the vivarium highlights the beauty and resilience of life in unexpected places. The tunnel’s second corridor features decals echoing the installation.

Location: Between Du Quartier station and Brossard’s Grand Parc Urbain
The intersecting of an indoor and an outdoor space, a walkway suspended in the air and walking in the grass, the Du Quartier station and Brossard’s Grand Parc Urbain: artists in visual arts, design, architecture and dance have created a visual work of art inspired by performative gestures in these respective public spaces. This multidisciplinary concept combines everyday movements, photographic images and textile prints to create a breathing space in the REM.

The work Trajectoires tissées et entrelacées is an assembly of reclaimed fabrics, most of which come from children’s blankets. Entwined in wool, the fabric evokes roots stretching and intersecting underground, striving to make visible the multicultural richness of Montréal’s identity, and the social ties that enliven the daily flows of users. The work will be suspended from the ceiling grillwork of the REM’s Central Station.
Les Cercles des Fermières Ahuntsic et Cœur-de-l’Île, Le Milieu et Petites-Mains collaborated on the work’s design. By actively involving the community, our goal is to strengthen social ties and inspire a sense of shared involvement in the project.
