That would be nice integration with existing infrastructure, and allow for another connection with a metro line in downtown. And it would allow those who are downtown to go to a heated bus terminal with seats to wait, instead of currently outside. If this would happen, it could be something like this:
747 towards YUL could turn on Robert-Bourassa, and head into TCV, stopping at P1, where the 47/46 currently stop. This area has seats and allows for the backdoor to be opened and people to get on and off, as well as for the bus to continue out without needing to back up. Then it could stop at Gare Lucien-l’Allier, and travel along St-Antoine:
The 747 towards Gare d’autocars could go along St-Jacques like it currently does, but continue to go directly to TCV, stopping at P12, which is similar to P1, allowing the bus to continue. It could then turn to go to Robert-Bourassa and along René-Lévesque:
Panneau mauve : navette
Panneau jaune : navette or
Panneau vert : anciennement les lignes express. Maintenant ligne 822
Panneau rose : ???
Panneau gris : 811
They were going to make express buses magenta (or pink) like they are on the map, but decided blue because the STM network is blue. Also the exo train’s colour is magenta now so they didn’t want to be associated with that.
I think the gold routes and shuttles are now just displayed as blue too, because when the 747 bus stop was moved it had blue icons.
On the newer maps of the STM network, they show the night bus service in blue (the photo makes it look darker, it’s the same as the metro and other blue) with the slightly changed ARTM bus logo:
Thoughts on terminating some 45 trips in Laval? I’m really surprised the STL still runs lines on the Viau bridge, but none on the Papineau bridge. Without transit options north of Henri-Bourassa, traffic is only going to get worst with the highway 19 extension to Bois-des-Filion.
I think even having one stop at boulevard Levesque in Laval would be a great idea actually… These artificial barriers in our transit system are purely the result of organizational inefficiencies, the STL and STM should coordinate a bit better to make trips between the islands less arduous
