@acpnc shared an article about a little book release, not a slate of policies that would turn all of Ile Jesus into downtown Ghent. Boyer’s essay is relavent here, because it presents a design philosophy that Laval could take inspiration from to develop future neighbourhoods like the Carré in downtown Laval. Talking about the feasibility of turning the entire city into a car free zone, or all the edge cases that would make such a neighbourhoods undesirable feels kind of beyond the scope of this thread.
