Mise à jour pour les curieux des travaux sur le viaduc Toupin. Ils installent un mesh, peut être pour stabiliser la pente. À suivre.

C’est effectivement à ça que sert ce type de mesh. Ils vont le remplir de terre, puis ensemencer le tout. Pour dire les choses comme ça, c’est mieux que rien comme solution. Un demi mur de soudainement pour réduire la pente aurait été préférable. Ce qui a tendance à arriver avec ce type de mesh, c’est que la terre glisse de la portion la plus haute de chaque cellule, mais reste dans la portion basse. Avec le temps, la portion exposé du mesh se dégrade.

Nature of the work :
Planing and paving work is scheduled to make corrections in the area of the bend on Chemin-de-Fer Street. This work will result in the complete closure of a portion of Chemin-de-Fer Street.
To minimize the time required for mobilization and ensure the integrity of the work, the closure is scheduled to start on Monday, July 29, for approximately 10 days, weather permitting. Flaggers will be present to facilitate automobile, cyclist, and pedestrian traffic. Road users are encouraged to follow the temporary signage in place during this period.

Impacts and mitigation measures :
The goal of the REM project office and the NouvLR consortium is to mitigate the impact on residents and ensure everyone’s safety by implementing appropriate measures.
- Complete closure of a portion of Chemin-de-Fer Street. A detour route will be set up and indicated by appropriate signage.
- Possible traffic slowdowns are to be expected in the area.
- Noise, vibrations, and dust may be generated by this work. Monitoring will be carried out by our environmental experts.
