I don’t want to be too cynical but I expect more and more of this to happen because there’s not enough investment in maintaining the infrastructure. The fact they don’t even want to fund the addition of elevators is very telling
Nope, manual REQUIRE the guidance system to work, emergency overrides could work with LOTS of limits but the speed limits are horrid in emergency mode
I also TBH wonder if between fabre & Saint Michel they even have power since they probably have to close power during the construction?
LOL
that could work… In a world of civilized people…
Makes you wonder why bother having employees in the trains at all if they can’t even operate in emergency or critical situations.
Cus the train can’t stop if an idiot is on the tracks?
- That should be easy to automate.
- I wonder about the success rate of such operation.
Platform screen doors is the solution.
The syndicat des chauffeurs will shut down any automation attempts.
That’s because there’s is a risk that the station crumbles into the tracks.
The path is literally above the tracks and if it crumbles it could crush a metro train (the aiguillage would require the mr73 to pass under the danger zone) OR they cut power to that station probably? (Can’t operate without power)
Bonus: I hope this shows that we should have “aiguillage” installed between every station’s now on PLB…
I don’t think the driver of a syndicat would like to operate in a risk environnement
There’s no driver required here. It’s all remote controled since… 1966, no?
No even azur still have 1 driver just ready to pull the Estop and to talk on the interphone also to deal with manual driving if ever needed and to assist with emergency procedures if there are any happening
