It is probably going to be very difficult to integrate virtual OPUS cards into third-party applications in a secure way. On Apple devices, for example, the emulation of contactless cards requires access to a sensitive hardware component (the Secure Element) that also hosts the credit cards/debit cards in Apple Pay. Only software publishers that have purchased an entitlement from Apple can access this component, and the apps must be certified by an independent security lab. Reloading physical OPUS cards through trusted third-party applications might be easier to achieve though.

They ask for OPUS to be integrated into wallets in the SEAO posting, and the companies that applied already do this.
