Oui, je sais que je peux avoir les billets AB sur une carte occasionnelle. Sauf que je veux avoir ces billets sur une carte rigide OPUS, au cas où les cartes occasionnelles en carton s’abîmeraient dans mon portefeuille.
No, thankfully, they didn’t charge me anything for the AB Opus card. It’s just the fact I need two different Opus cards, one for the A monthly pass and another for my AB tickets.
Tu peux présenter la première carte OPUS que tu as achetée à un point de service pour obtenir les autres gratuitement.
The real issue is that the system has no idea what you want to use when you tap the card. The priority system only works for same zone tickets.
There no way for the metro to know that you want to use the ab ticket. Or that you should use the abcd ticket now since your going to Salaberry de Valleyfield for example.

One idea is the machine should be programmed so that all choices are there.
Let’s say when you arrive at the OPUS machine:
Question 1: Which zone do you want (A, AB, ABC, ABCD, Buses & Others)
Question 1b (for Buses & Others): Which “réseau” do you want? (RTL, STL, etc.)
Question 2: (Monthly pass, tickets, 24h, Weekend or Weekly?)
Question 3: How many do you want (1 time to 6 times)
Because now, how it works, you get the end of the choices already and that way, there is not enough option buttons to get through the whole list unless you scroll endlessly with the arrow from the right.

Let’s also remember that An opus card can only store 4 Sku’s.

Did you know that the recharge RTC and the recharge StLevis don’t care about dedicated opus cards for the GMA and will let you put any tickets on them.

Of Fun interest:
All non chrono apps allows you to rename the card. (This only is stored locally in the app it’s self and not on the card/server)
Chrono and mrc Joliet for some reason will show the artm card type.
We lost one feature from opus en ligne:
The notice of if the card is registered.
We now have no way to see this.

En naviguant sur le site Web de l’Agence de mobilité durable, je viens de voir qu’il est possible d’acheter des billets pour la 747 sur 12 bornes de paiement de stationnement!
Malheureusement, ce ne sont pas des billets 24 heures, mais le chauffeur va remettre une correspondance 24 heures
Il est possible de se procurer un titre de transport pour la bus de la ligne 747 de la STM* en direction de l’Aéroport Montréal-Trudeau à nos bornes de paiement situées à proximité des 14 arrêts de la ligne au centre-ville, entre les rues Berri/Ste-Catherine et René-Lévesque/Bishop.
Le service de la ligne 747 est offert 24 heures par jour, 7 jours sur 7 et le titre de transport est au coût de 11 $.
Pour payer, il suffit d’entrer les chiffres 0747 sur le clavier, de suivre les instructions à l’écran et de récupérer le reçu qui, une fois remis au chauffeur, sera échangé contre un titre de transport valide de la STM.
IMPORTANT
Le reçu émis par l’une de nos bornes est valide pour un aller-simple seulement et doit être utilisé maximum 2 heures après l’achat. Un droit de correspondance vous sera remis à bord du bus (valide 24 h pour vous déplacer en bus, métro, train ou REM dans la Zone A - Agglomération de Montréal).

Les nouveaux validateurs devaient être installés dans les bus du secteur Terrebonne-Mascouche, mais ils n’ont pas encore été installés et pendant ce temps, les anciens validateurs ont été désactivés, donc les passagers voyagent gratuitement.

I think it’s more a problem with ARTM’s approach to the project. They have very strict guidelines that put off many companies, which end up making the submissions low quality and not to the highest standard. I can’t go into much detail besides that.

Nos appels d’offres au Québec sont excessivement restrictifs et dissuasifs.

It’s more the requirements ARTM made in such a limited time. It’s not the whole project itself, just the way the ARTM has done it.
Not sure about Vancouver exactly, but other places give way more time and some budget to the companies to help them create previews of the services. ARTM requires companies to submit everything with the companies paying for it themselves, which puts off many companies as it simply costs too much with no guarantee
