What gets to me at YUL every time I comeback from abroad is how low the ceilings are at YUL. You get these monumental airports in the world s as nd at YuL it’s not that grand. I guess the arrivals hall is big, but meh

That’s mostly because the arrivals are in the basement of the departures.

Sorry I meant International customs hall … arrivals is not nice :-1:

Je me demande si Air Canada va aussi se lancer sur Montréal-Tunis l’été prochain. Tunis était mentionné comme destination possiblement envisagée il y a quelques mois.

Not sure why CAI is not back or will be back to YUL considering ARN wont

I think it might be related to the lack of aircraft. AC is bringing back 2 B767 back in service in 2025. So my bet is that they are waiting for new metal (A321XLR, 787-10).

I’m guessing but I always thought the plane or planes dedicated Cairo went to the Seoul route. ARN will probably be an A321XLR route once they arrive.

Maybe we could see MS resuming service and replacing AC. I think they were operating CAI-YUL a decade ago no?

There’s lot of people talking about CA recently! Do you guys have any infos about it? Apparently, Chinese companies received 18X flights per week for Canada!

The lack of aircraft is the reason why CAI has not retarted.
It will eventually most likely come back, but not before AC gets new aircraft.
As for the the 787-8 that was operating ARN, well it will be better used on NAP, demand to the Mediterranean, Italy and Portugal is on fire. Porto is also a new AC destination for YUL.

Next summer AC Mediterranean / Italy destinations

YUL-ATH 9 weekly (B77W/ 789)
YUL-FCO 9 weekly (B77W/ 789)

YUL-VCE 3 weekly (A333)
YUL-NAP 4 weekly (B788)
YUL-NCE 5 weekly (A333)
YUL-BCN 7 weekly (B77W)
YUL-LIS 6 weekly (A333)
YUL-OPO 4 weekly (B7M8)

Can you share the name of that forum (screenshots)? I’m interested in taking a look at it.

The 78X’s are coming from Boeing… what are the chances any of them will be delivered within 6 months of the scheduled delivery date.

I don’t think the A321XLR can do CAI-YUL. I it can it’s pushing the outer limit of its range.

Yeah, really just outside the range of the new craft. I don’t doubt that point-revisions over the next year or two will increase MTOW by a few thousand pounds, though (like with the CSeries), but I suspect AC would rather dedicate the 788 to the route than the 9 or 10.

Are they no longer flying to Madrid?

YUL-MAD is bookable on their website throughout 2025 so yes they’re still flying to Madrid.

I don’t consider MAD a Mediterranean since it’s inland.
But yes MAD is 5 weekly.

MAD?
