VIA Rail - Discussion générale

I’m not blaming you. For me, the programming of the traffic lights at this interchange and railroad crossing has given me nightmares since it was so complicated with all those trains passing by during weekdays!

The previous engineer who conceived the traffic light system back in 1998, when the ministry of transportation rebuilt the interchange above highway 20, was a real brain.

I think that for VIA’s HFR or HSR, they will have no choice but to eliminate this crossing at Beaurepaire, and all the traffic in Beaconsfield will have to use Saint-Charles boulevard further east to join Highway 20, which is already a very busy interchange. Unless they bring down the rail tracks of CN and CP with VIA’s futur corridor under Woodland avenue, which can cost a fortune since you have to be very lucky to negotiate with CN and CP.

How would exo work then? Also this station would become part of the GPdO so this would be another issue

I just watched this video. This is so fascinating!
