So! The new ARTM Metropolitan Map was made, and it looks great! Although exo seems to be in a bit of a sticky situation.
After things were moved from AMT to RTM, branded as exo, the route colours for the trains have changed as well. In fact, in the last 7 years, the Saint-Jérôme line was rebranded 4 times, and the Candiac and Deux-Montagnes lines were rebranded 3 times. This means if you go to different stations, the lines are referred to in different ways.
Some use exo#, such as exo2 at Mirabel, while others use the name of the route, like the Vandreuil-Hudson line (aka exo1, aka line 11) being called “Rigaud” at Dorval station. This inconsistency can be seen with the signage too. Now there are lines that have different names along their entire route, which is a huge mess.
I hope that these new numbers are the end, and there won’t be any more changes. Changing the Saint-Jérôme line to a desaturated yellow makes sense, as there are already 3 different green lines on the map. I just hope now all the changes have settled, and the signage will be updated, including at new stations like Mirabel, to display these new route colours.
