So finally, after many months, I’ve finished my Ville-de-Mont-Royal “Town Centre” redesign, with improved bike infrastructure, connection to the REM station, a new mini bus terminal with space for buses to park, and an overall better connection to connect the new plaza to the station. Cars would no longer be allowed to go straight down Cornwall to Graham, they’d need to turn left, then right and right around the plaza.
Cars are guided around the station, with a dedicated drop of and taxi pickup area, on the side of the station. Parking is important of people in TMR, so I’ve gone and adjusted the parking layout, making the area safer for people on bikes and pedestrians, while maintaining much of the parking around, only removing parking at the new plaza. I’ve only removed around 20 parking spots, even with the new bike paths.
