Yeah… like the secret ones that were installed about 10 years ago and that they hid somewhere
Hint: they’re behind a sticker
This is a poor attempt at humour

Je remplacerais les chiffres 9, 12, etc… par le R du REM car ce ne sont plus des quais à embarquement de trains interurbains et ils mènent tous au même quai général du métro léger.
Sadly they’re protected by Parks Canada and are likely required to stay there. I wish CDPQ could replace the sticker over display box, and instead added vertical modern displays like VIA has, with live departures on it
Qu’est-ce qui empêche l’utilisation de ces écrans par le REM?
le patrimoine est très strict
We’re protecting the wrong thing. Seriously, that 9 looks like it was printed on a sheet of plastic that’s gone wavy from the years. The post doesn’t seem to be anything special. It doesn’t have have classical ornaments or anything like that. The ceiling could also use a coat of paint. It looks rather yellowed by the years.
Besides the tile in it which has been replaced removing the English, the frame around indicating the track is actually original it seems
I image a contemporary version of these could be the same shape, with a logo of the REM instead of track number, and the speakers moved into the base to not stick out on the top and be more sleek
Ok that’s lovely
Tho, gare centrale… Should it not have the English subtitles like everywhere else
I’m a bit disappointed they aren’t showing the metro in the direction of Place Bonaventure as well, but this is a significant improvement.
No, there is no bilingual requirement on the REM at GC
Choice paradox. Better to lead the unknowing crowd through 1 path than to possibly confuse them.
No requirement, but also no prohibition.
I feel a black background would have been more visible and give contrast
White is the normal artm signage for above ground
