When there was a crosswalk being painted near the REM, it was going into grass and without a curb or ramp. When it was being marked out, I emailed and asked if the crosswalk would be painted because it’s going into nothing, they said it wouldn’t, but then I saw it being actively painted. I emailed again, and I talked with them as they were painting it, and they stopped mid job and then removed it…
I don’t know how this type of miscommunication can happen so often.
Another example is on rue de Verdun, where they had to do some corrections to the newer bike path. They removed the lines and painted new ones but didn’t get approval and were stopped by the police. They eventually continued but because they did it two weeks before it snowed, the fresh paint was removed first and is nonexistent in that single block now
