Was going to share the same planter too. I think the 108 bus must’ve hit this because they were turning here due to construction on Dupuis and Joseph (with the new sponge park)
Le pauvre. Mourir si jeune.
Not my photo, an STM bus that’s out of service got stuck on the concrete bike protection because cars didn’t wait at the stop line (and de L’Eglise has construction making the turn the more sharp)
i saw it on Facebook
People in comments mentionned that it was weeks ago (see the trees) and that the bus driver was in transit, so not the usual route and not very familiar with the area
I blame the cars for not stopping at the right place haha
Corrective work is being done I think:
Unrelated, when the area around Verdun station is redone, it would be nice if the bus stops use higher curbs than usual to reach the buses without them needing to lower.
No photos, but corrective work is underway to widen the south bike path slightly (about 6-8 inches, 15-20 cm wider) between parked vehicles and the sidewalk. I noticed this between Rielle and Gordon, new markings will be made to move the parking over slightly
Edit: The workers are being stopped by the police… I noticed they didn’t block any traffic lanes and were removing the centre line with vehicles driving around them. After sticking around for a bit they got a truck and are controlling traffic so the work continues.
