I was on a train that had this really loud high pitched sound, people were plugging their ears because it was that bad. Does anyone know what it could be? It would only happen when moving, not when the doors are open. I messaged the REM about it but don’t expect a response soon

In the livestream where we hear Mayor Fournier talk about the “REM Taschereau”, in my headphones I could hear the high-pitch sound, but I thought it was a microphone issue. So I guess it’s really audible when you’re inside the trains… probably even more when there are fewer people in them.

Hier, il y avait plus d’un train avec ce problème, c’est sûr. Je suis monté dans deux trains dans la même direction qui avaient ce sifflement.

Next time you hear it, you could email the REM with the train car number (on the top left above the front/middle window), so they know exactly the cars with the issues. It seems to be the best way for them to find the car and fix it
