Correct, there is only traffic during… rush hour when there is traffic everywhere. It adds just four extra minutes having only one lane on the bridge to Nun’s Island instead of two in each direction. Normally it is two, which is why I don’t understand having three lanes around MELS after the bridge, the road literally gets smaller the closer it gets to the highway!!
They are just using this as an excuse. There’s no reason why a trucking route is required to be three lanes in each direction instead of one or two. There are trucking routes in the city smaller, if we want to prioritize trucks here, we can reduce the size and add tolls for personal vehicles if we want to improve truck traffic
