I’m really excited for this project and I think it’s going to be great for the city. The mockups look awesome, its definitely going to give people more space to use the park as its already at capacity. Reduced parking surface looks great also.
Really odd how angry people seem to be getting here for what might simply mean a longer drive or bus ride for them. I think people are just too used to having focus being vehicle accessibility at all costs for the past 50 years. A refocus on safety and recreation is going to bring some long needed balance.
Once this project is complete I think people will see cars on this road the same way we look at those old photos of cars by the pond in Parc Lafontaine.
