This is obviously an amazing step for wayfinding, but I am slightly irked that they put the name of the green line station (McGill) on one sign but not the name of the orange line station (Bonaventure) on the other. I would understand if the station were called Gare Centrale, but it isn’t, so I think it could still lead to some confusion. That might just be me being picky though.

If I were to guess, I think that it is because you can technically walk to Lucien L’Allier as well from that point.

Also to go with that, the other signs by the REM only say “Métro” they don’t say the name of the metro station Bonaventure.
Also McGill is actively away from the station vs Bonaventure is essentially (barely) in the station area. Like when people say they’re taking the metro from Gare Centrale, I think 99% of the time they mean Bonaventure

They should have put ‘‘orange line’’ or ‘‘green line’’ since from Place Bonaventure you can go easily to Square-Victoria_OACI

The green circle and orange circle (now with numbers in them I guess) are indicators for that, right?
Yes, but in people’s mind, nobody is using the number of the lines
Well nothing like the present to force this change of mind
Here the ARTM installed one that says just “Bonaventure” with the number, and no mention of métro, and another just uses “Métro” with no indication of the line or station name. They seem to be doing both (a problem with their standards IMO)

How busy is the parkade at Central Station. Other than the car rental and taxis, who uses it? I guess people who work nearby?
I feel there’s so much more you could do with that space. A giant skylight onto the platforms, a plaza/débarcadère, a couple of intercity bus stops (megabus, exo/REM/VIA service disruption relief). Maybe expand out the salle des pas perdus. Maybe build accessible ramps down to the platforms…
