I think that Amazon’s continued success comes from them applying the “enshittification” process to a T. Entice consumers and sellers alike with artificially low prices and fast delivery, and then start “enshittifying” the platform for both parties once they become dependant on it. It has become quite difficult to find genuine products that are not dropshipped crap from god knows where when you use the search function. And most products shown are sponsored, meaning sellers are also at a disadvantage if they have a product to sell. They have to pay a premium to be seen.
