Archibald used to be accessible from both sides, it was weird.

Montreal’s Trudeau airport boosts Indigenous tourism and culture with new display
Aéroports de Montréal, the company that runs Montreal’s Trudeau airport, says it hopes the display of Indigenous names, imagery and artifacts leads to a larger Indigenous presence that could include boutiques or even a restaurant
Strong June numbers, hitting 2 million pax in June for the first time. If we keep this pace (8.6% YoY) we would end up close to 23M pax.
The Azores in Portugal are becoming a very popular destination, Azores Airlines are keeping PDL 2 weekly during the winter. Wouldn’t be surprised to see AC maybe jump on the route with the 737 MAX 8 sometime soon. United started the routes from Newark last summer I believe.
Ponta Delgada – Montreal 2 weekly A321neo

Delta dropping JFK-YUL
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
whattt why???
I don’t know. They quote slot protection. Maybe they now have more profitable routes to use from our slots. Eastern, American Eagle, Air Canada and now Delta have all flown it and dropped it. It seems it’s not profitable otherwise they’d keep it.
Air Canada still operates the route once daily on an E75.
We are not a slot-controlled airport. For sure they will protect the JFK slot with another flight somewhere else; they have 90 days to file a new flight without giving up the slot.
The flights are consistently quite full but the yields are low. Similar to AF dumping the A380 here because of low yields, business travellers fly to LaGuardia instead of JFK, and few pax from YUL connecting ex-JFK to Africa or Latin America are willing to pay premium fares.
Just to clarify because I see now it might have been confusing, when I said “our slots” I meant the slots at JFK used for flights to YUL, so our Delta slots to home not non existent slots at YUL.
It’s a shame though. Low yields did us in. I see Alex pointed out Air Canada still flies it so hopefully they’re doing better and can add flight to fill in for the loss.
Any news about Air China’s return to YUL? It used to have a YUL-HAV leg but the airline seems to now be operating to Cuba via Spain.
They fly once a week to Vancouver from Beijing and thats with a stop in Shenyang.
So I’d stay we’re ways away from it returning.
British Airways this week filed service changes to Mainland China, as the airline schedules last London Heathrow – Beijing Daxing flight on 24OCT24 (25OCT24 from Beijing). Reservations for flights on/after 26OCT24 are no longer available.
