Aéroport Montréal-Trudeau - Discussion générale

But “we” aren’t spending the money. ADM is.

All of that instead of building 10 km of expressway (A13) and a decent train service to downtown.

The worst section of YUL nowadays is clearly the domestic jetty that really looks like a small regional airport.

If there is an expansion with a mid-field concourse towards ex runway 10/28, what “sector” would be transferred there? There would be an obvious challenge with the segregation of international/US passengers who need to go through customs and domestic flights.

Well… in an ideal world HSR and a developed rail network would reduce the need for a super large domestic jetty.

Bel ajout pour YUL ! Visité la Corée du Sud :kr: en 2007 + 2013. Vraiment sympa!

Air China is not even daily on Vancouver to Beijing, so until service is fully restored to Vancouver don’t expect YUL to start.

There is talk in airliners.net that Air Canada is dropping flights to Cairo and this is where the 787 for Seoul is coming from. I don’t see Cairo flights in August from here as of now. Anyone know if there’s truth to this?

2 « J'aime »

Cairo is wiped from GDS and Seoul is added

That’s disappointing. Would be good to see Egyptair taking over the route. Maybe they have better feeds to Canada from their region than we have to Cairo from ours. It’s a long shot though. Hopefully Seoul is more profitable for Air Canada.

3 « J'aime »

Yes correct, the plane that was being used for Cairo is being swapped for Seoul.
It was a nice route to have but unfortunately I feel like it was a low yielding route. The best carrier for this route would be if EgyptAir were to return at some point.

4 « J'aime »

There is the Star Alliance connection so it might make sense. There’s been no word of Seoul or Cairo on any platform I’ve seen other than Aeroroutes. Maybe there’s something in the works. Fingers crossed.
