This area is finally starting to come back to life, I don’t see why its taking so long with a train station across the street.
The public consultations seem to result in huge pushback from residents. Could that gum up the works?
Because it’s Roxboro and they block literally anything that is higher then 3 story high.
Usually a developer propose an idea see a huge push back and just abandon. The few times they decide to continue it happens what happened recently. 20 or so people demand a referendum and the city say nah too costly.
So we end up with building and terrain that have been abandoned for more then 20 years…
Not pertaining to this project and my apologies if it was already mentioned, but I noticed the old seafood restaurant across the street was demolished when I passed by when visiting my parents.
There was a sign there for years mentioning the desire to build there, but I hadn’t noticed action until now.

Non c’est pas cet îlot. Ce projet est sur le terrain du vieux banque laurentienne qui est toujours là, mais abandonné.
L’immeuble démoli se situe quasiment dans le stationnement du REM, sur l’autre côté de Gouin.
Je me demande si ça va être du stationnement ou ça va devenir des logements car j’ai rien vu dans la dernière année une annonce sur le site web de Pierrefonds.
