I’m still wondering why the posts for the catenary system are so tall, ugly and imposing, and the arms so robust and mechanical. It’s a 750V system like almost every light metro and tram in the modern world, and yet every one I’ve ever seen isn’t as bad as this. I know the bottom has dropped out of the scrap metal market, but these contraptions are ridiculous. I can’t wait to see them overtaking the whole line, especially creating their own “signature” look on the elevated sections. Woohoo.
