The snow will probably be cleared to make un banc de neige where the yellow markings are. Also, it’s a dépose-minute, not a major thoroughfare with lots of traffic.
The concrete island, while prettier, isn’t entirely necessary here, specially in the cost-cutting methods of CDPQi.

Yeah they thought about winter with the red/white arrow signs. People see the limit and direction.

C’est le débarcadère? Beaucoup de gens vont faire demi-tour à ce point? Ça fait une grosse zone asphalté juste pour ça.
C’est pour que les gens puissent arriver et repartir du côté de leur choix. Par exemple un taxi peut prendre un client et revenir par la sortie qui est derrière
Au bas de l’image, hors du cadre, il y a un stationnement. Au haut de l’image, c’est la sortie/entrée. Il y a aussi un arrêt de bus. Le rond-point permet aux bus et aux autres véhicules de faire demi-tour sans faire un demi-tour dans un mini stationnement.
