Fairview station is very beautiful and neat. If your bus happens to be at the very end of the terminus you’ll have to do some walking! Very big terminus with many buses! Inaugration was a bit hectic especially because the train was every 15 minutes, it was very crowded!
I find the signage of the path a bit confusing.
Does the mini-stop sign even apply to pedestrians? You usually only see them on bike trails. Does this mean bikes are allowed on the path? But when they moved the path a couple meters to the side they also made it too narrow for bikes.
Terminus Fairview in its last hours…
Hopefully, it is not replaced with parking, there’s much more than enough already…
The first signs of a REM-induced housing boom in the area.
Someone previously mentioned that Saint-Joseph’s Oratory is visible from Des Sources station but it is in fact visible from even further.
They could open a coffee shop in the old terminal, it would be quite a nostalgic experience for many!
It’s already announced.
Cadillac Fairview is replacing the bus terminal with a car park.
Starting Monday, the loop will be moved permanently just a few hundred metres northwest to the REM’s Fairview-Pointe-Claire station. The existing bus waiting area will be demolished and integrated back into the parking lot in the coming weeks.

well i’ll be damned. I’ve lived here all my life and never noticed that
Actually you can see it from even further! between Kirkland and Fairview just past St-Charles
(8:45 in @AliFatCat’s yt video)
And at 8:14 where the tracks fly over Saint-Charles, I believe this is the farthest observable distance from the REM.
google maps measuring tool says that’s a distance of 19km!
I think that the green tiles on the walls in the bus terminal really feels out of place. I can’t quite put my finger why. When I go through Panama or Brossard terminals, it feels modern (2010s-2020s); it just doesn’t for Fairview-PC.
I realize that they wanted to match the station, but it’s a swing and a miss for me.
Also, it seems the densest of the three terminals.
That’s because that colour is beyond retro! It’s the same hue as the (mosaic) tiles, toilet, and tub in my un-renovated bathroom; my house was built in 1968!
I absolutely love those colors ![]()

The stations are not air conditioned, just ventilated from each end of the platforms. The bus terminal is however
