That worksite is emblematic of the worst of Québec infrastructure planning and execution. Several orders more expensive than originally planned, and yet only about 40% completed to plan. Gone are the eastbound 20 exit to the airport and the westbound 20 on ramp from the airport, the Dorval Avenue “Boulevard” under the highway, and so far the intermodal station on the north side. Basically, anything that would be beneficial on a human scale to the city of Dorval has been nixed.
