In all seriousness, once the Blue line and the REM are complete (plus in an ideal world, a blue and orange extension on the western side, green line to PAT) I’d say covering the island in bus lanes with full TSP would probably have more net benefit than anything else currently on the table. Both the data from SF (do they even do TSP?) and what’s been observed locally really seem to support this. I don’t have real costs, but if it costs $2 million per intersection, the budgets we’re looking at for the PSE would do a hell of a lot of intersections.
If you’re lucky enough to live within walking distance to Metro/REM, Montreal has great transit. As soon as you get put on a bus, it gets pretty rough, pretty fast.
