Because I ideally want to put a tram on des sources so I wanted that he connect to the train and the REM so Valois was the closest station and the right of way to pointe-claire was too narrow. Since Pointe Claire was too close to Valois I decided to remove it after it’s true that I could add an infill station at another location.

The line become underground indeed just before Montpelier, but I envisionned it using extent cut and cover techniques along the corridor. I didn’t go further north because I already put a BRT pie-IX style on Henri-Bourassa that serve this area and have other connections to north/south axis like Saint-Michel (BRT) and Pie-IX (tram). So going north for that of a short distance would be costly for what it bring especially that you would likely require a TBM and that the south corridor bring more connectivity.

It’s exactly what I plan! What I imagine is to go underground just before the highway 15 and to use cut and cover for the part before Atwater then go with a TBM and follow the René-Lévesque and Park corridor untill beaubien to then start to go above ground and join the existing right of way.

It should be note also in the map that I didn’t put the tram and BRT network because I was not sure how to integrate them and I also have think about a possible express bus network on the highways a bit like the CDPQ proposal for quebec to connect suburbs like one line between Deux-Montagnes, sainte-thérèse and Repentigny to give exemples

I don’t think you quite understood what I was saying in the segment that you quoted. Your plan has the line going east west which involves building a new station deep underground. What I’m saying is that we would likely be better off just building in a north south alignment.

It’s clear that building in the north/south axis would be more simple however since it is a plan for 2060 and I try to achieve the best connectivity possible I think the east/west offer way better connections with other modes and would still be possible to do for a reasonnable cost if we use cut and cover before rené-lévesque and that the stations are minimalist under this street to avoid fondations. I know that it’s clearly the most farfetch part of my plan, but I think it would be a better deal for the hole metropolitain regionand it could be done if we put our shit together. I will do a disclaimer however that it is after all just my opinion so you can think the contrary ;). It’s sure that in the first two phases of this plan I would keep the current terminal stations and only after 10-15 years I would start the planification process of the tunnel after the increase of service thus the demand also justifying this infrastructure.

Btw when you mark Ile perrot station in the middle, your doing a new one between the 2 or its Ile perrot or Pincourt?

I delete the two and I create only one at the middle because the two right now are way too close to other stations ideally the two cities should invest in the bycicle network to the station a bit like Brossard to make the station accessible.

You took into consideration that the Minister’s of only the roads will be making a new highway 20 to bypass the boulevard 20 so land usage might be difficult

You don’t have a lot of other options buldoze throught the island to reach the city center is not really possible it’s sad, but I imagine that we could transform the area like Panama station which is nice in term of access. It’s not the ideal model however it’s better than most median highway stations in North America.

One question, train station Lafontaine after SJ… It can’t be in zone C…
SJ is outside the CMM and pays for inclusion in zone C. Unless Lafontaine is also inside SJ territory then NVM but otherwise it would have to be zone D

Lafontaine is a station indeed inside Saint-Jérôme territory I put it at the crossing of the Lafontaine and Maurice blvd however the tracks are in trench to prepare to go under a short tunnel the cross the highway and some homes before meeting again with the p’tit train du nord right of way.
