Meilleur mix d’escaliers qu’île des soeurs Station Des Sources - #159 par tcardinalsirois
Pointe-Claire set into law there 2025-2026-2027 CIP(Capital investment program) in today’s extraordinary Council meeting and in it they have plans for redevelopment of the source’s/hymus intersection for safer pedestrian and bike infrastructure for the REM specifically, I cannot confirm if it’s for 2025 or 2026 yet I have sent a request for the entire document to the city.
Redevelopment work on Sources Boulevard in connection with accessibility to
REM and Viaduc
2025 - Complete redevelopment of the Hymus intersection - Civil and electrical work ($1.2M) -
Shared with the City of Dorval
2026 - Professional services - Traffic study for the viaduct’s north and south approaches
2029 - Brunswick Blvd. to the north of Aut. 40 viaduct, including approaches and northwest ramp
($1M)
2029 - South of Aut. 40 viaduct, including approaches and southwest ramps to Hymus boulevard
($1.5M)
Here we go
They had to wait for the end of REM construction to do that I guess ?
no, its just that funding by taxes are a thing and a city like pointe-claure who’s being forced to give 50% of all taxes to the city of mtl just because a 2004 law was passed means that money does not flow out of nowhere and that most of the time the city of mtl outright refuse to fund aglo stuff thats not actually in the city of mtl. its politics and stuff. also MTQ thats a pain in the ass to work with.
I was surprised how quickly Royalmount got MTQ approval for the overpass versus all the trouble they give to cities.
Five years. Jeezus. Dorval Circle Lite.
5 years if PC is fine paying, they explicitly said that if it can’t be payed 2026 onwards will be delayed until funding happens
Also these works can only be done after the MTQ fixes the car part of the bridge so we are depending on them to do there job and we know how much the mtq loves the west island… (Both sources overpass are dying, the sj overpass (highway 40 is approaching critical damage and Ile aux tourte bridge)
