Alors que nous nous préparons à accueillir nos premiers invités dans quelques semaines, notre équipe de construction travaille d’arrache-pied pour apporter les dernières touches au projet.

It’s still unclear to me whether or not users will necessarily have to go outside to get to the Metro, or if that elevator in the vertical section goes all the way down to the Metro mezzanine level.
I wonder if Carbonleo could pay for elevators in this station (or at least pay most of the costs), to make this station accessible, in agreement with the STM. As we know the STM now isn’t getting enough funding to make stations accessible so private companies investing in accesses into the métro could possibly help

In exchange for naming rights…
TBH, “Royalmount” would be a more identifiable name for the station; it pins to a POI, and there is an eponymous street nearby. Like how Pie-IX [Green] could acceptably become Parc-Olympique.

In NYC, naming rights for station is by the year, and in a specific case, let’s say Barclay’s Center, it costs them $250,000 US every year to keep that name. Elevators cost way more (upfront), but I wonder if then they could pay for construction and maintenance for an equivalent time, and then pass it off to the STM.
Additionally, there are other stations in the STM that have privately owned exits with elevators, such as at Bonaventure via Centre-Ville owned by Groupe Mach, or Atwater (to the street exit) owned by Cominar
Yeah but those private exits to the street don’t make the stations “accessible,” in that they don’t also have elevators going down to the platforms.
Your suggestion, upon which I am expanding, is that the owner of Royalmount pays to make the station accessible in exchange for naming rights.

I think we would’ve seen signs of a much more challenging work site if indeed they did go all the way down to the mezzanine.
There would’ve been excavation(the station is 17m deep), the STM would put up at least somewhat of a communiqué to let the clientele know what the work is about and so on.
My guess is that right now, you do have to step outside to reach the overpass.

Situe en face du très chic Ginza Six (Ultra up scale avec plein de designer qui mettront jamais les pieds à Montréal).On y fait la file pour entrer. C’est une ville que j’aime beaucoup en terme de contrastes. Un peu comme si on avait un Uniqlo à la place du magasin Apple à côté de Ogilvy
Royalmount, c’est de la petite gomme qui essaie de donner l’impression d’être une grosse ´balloune’chic. Ça répond et ça s’adapte à la demande locale si le promoteur juge que ce ser a rentable avec cette formule. L’avenir nous le dira.
Point du vue architectural, à l’extérieur je demeure toujours avec l’impression que c’est un gros entrepôt Amazon et donc ça ne m’attire pas quand bien même on promettrait un chapiteau du cirque du Soleil en ses murs
