REM - Discussion générale (partie 2)

On a completely different subject, they really need to do something about the departure displays.

They just show irrelevant information.

They should show bus departures when exiting the station, and REM departures of each direction when you enter (first is always A1, second is A2, etc)

That’s next step thinking…. I like that!

Merci pour la réponse complète! Je dormirais moins niaiseux!

Not sure if it’s just me, but the rem seems to be going pretty slow between Ville de Mont Royal and Canora, towards Brossard. Also slow in both directions on the eastern approach to Bois Franc

I clocked a new record for me of 98km/h in the Anse-à-l’Orme direction the other night between highway 40 and the Des Sources station. The trains have also been pleasantly cool the last few weeks, the AC has been much better.

It must’ve been running late! Speeds are usually 90 km/h in regular service, if I recall correctly, with a maximum service speed of 100 km/h. This leaves some room to make up for lost time if the dwell at a station takes longer.

All this talk of REM in Chambly, Longueuil and Granby…

I think it’s time to bring back the Montreal and Southern Counties!

The six-car Sydney Metro version of the Sri City Metropolis is slightly more powerful per bogie/car than our Saint-Laurent, and has a design maximum speed of 120, and a typical service maximum of 100, though I did clock it at over 110 on a few above-ground sections north of the Harbour. Our lighter units could probably also comfortably run at 110.

We’d need a better crossing than Victoria+bypass.

:sob:
