Pour le secteur exo Laurentides, le REM n’est pas le point focal, et REM ou pas, les lignes avaient besoin d’être repensées. Oui, c’est bien que la refonte corresponde avec l’ouverture de l’antenne A4 Deux-Montagnes, surtout qu’on diminue le rabattement vers Montmorency et qu’on élimine le rabattement vers Côte-Vertu en faveur du REM, mais à mon avis, le REM n’est pas central à la refonte exo Laurentides.

Someone mentioned dwell time in the REM since reopening. I just timed stops around 7:15am at Panama (31s) and IdS (28s).

I believe dwell time is different depending on rush hour or not as well, which one was it when you measured that?
At 7:15am a Friday morning, so slow but picking up in passengers.

30 seconds in mid-afternoon. It is very fast. The only long stop is at Gare Centrale.

Caroline’s actual voice is only used for next station/door opening announcements so far. Anything related to service changes is a TTS voice that they custom made for the REM (which they announced on a podcast prior to the south shore segment opening)

Normally the same real person does everything. It’s as if they signed Caroline really early not knowing the totality of announcements.

Impossible. La marche à blanc déterminera si la prochaine phase du REM peut ouvrir. Et la marche à blanc n’a pas commencé.

Selon mes infos, la marche à blanc devrait commencer d’ici les deux prochaines semaines. Donc on devrait avoir des nouvelles cette semaine.

My guess is the dry run starts the week of September 15. Finished by October 10. Some final changes made. Media Day will be either October 22 or 29, and one of the two lines - probably DM, will begin service on October 24 or 31. It is only a guess, nothing more.

Je suis persuadé que ce sera sûrement après les élections (municipales, on s’entend).
But to be clear the opening is not being chosen for political reasons, it’s simply for when testing is ready. They’re not delaying things or changing the opening due to other news
